PRIVILEGED NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

Port Ginesta is at the foot of the Garraf Natural Park , which includes the regions of Garraf, and in the southwestern sector of the so-called Catalan Coastal Range.

It borders the lower valley of the Llobregat river, the Mediterranean Sea and the Penedès depression. It occupies an area of 12,820 hectares .

It is a predominantly rocky landscape, of lunar aspect, with numerous deep underground caves and caverns formed by the action of water on limestone. These geological features also occur as a result of rivers within the mountains exiting as natural freshwater springs at the base of the mountain, exactly where Port Ginesta is.

Within the port facilities is the beautiful beach Cala Ginesta, a beach at the base of the Garraf Natural Park with public access across the harbor via a beautiful road and dune landscape designed by architect Bet Figueras , who also designed, among many other creative projects Barcelona’s Botanical Garden
